Pink Crickett Auction for MarineParents.com
**UPDATE** (12-29-2012)** I held my interview with Tracy Della Veccia of Marineparents.com and Steve McNeal of Keystone Sporting Arms on December 28th, 2012 and had a great time talking with them about the fundraising project. It has been a sometimes challenging but fun project and it was great getting to meet and speak with all of those involved. Thanks to everyone. Steve and I talked about holding and annual event so who knows where this will go! Download the podcast here!.
**UPDATE** (12-24-2102) It felt great making the $1,000 donation this morning to MarineParents.com. It was the culmination of the hard work of a few and the donations of many! Thanks again to Steve McNeal of Keystone Sporting Arms for matching our donation with his own $1,000 donation. I hope to have an interview soon with Tracy Vecchia of MarineParents.com soon which will wrap up the project.
**UPDATE** (12-22-2012) We had a great auction and I want to thank the high bidder for supporting a great cause. I have not been in touch with the winner yet to get permission to release his name.
The Pink Crickett Auction raised $605 dollars and the P-64 Giveaway raised $370 for a total of $975. Including my pledge we have an even $1,000 to donate to MarineParents.com. And thanks to Steve McNeal of Keystone Sporting Arms who has pledged to donate another $1,000 to MarineParents.com!
I would say this fund raiser is a great succes! I will have a follow up video coming including an interview with Tracy Vecchia, CEO of MarineParents.com to present the money raised and do a final thank you to everyone.
**UPDATE** (12-21-20120 There was a glitch apparently caused by time zone information built into the auction component that caused the auction to end before the stated time of 9:30 PM EST. This is the first auction published on this website and this error was unknown until it took place this afternoon. The auction will end at 9:30 PM as stated in the rules and other published media such as emails and published videos. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused but we must end the auction at the time stated in the rules to make this auction fair for all of those involved. Remember, this is for a good cause!
**UPDATE** (12-21-2012) Wow! Steve McNeal, President of Ketstone Sporting Arms, surprised me with a $1,000 donation to match our goal of $1,000. This is a wonderful way to end a great fund raiser for MarineParents.com. Thanks very much Steve!
**UPDATE** (12-18-2012) The Pink Crickett auction is live and on the air!
**UPDATE** (12-16-2012) An interesting development just occurred that could make pushing back the deadline for the auction very worthwhile!!
**UPDATE** (12-15-2012) I received a tracking number and the Pink Crickett should be home Monday but no later than Tueasday. The excitement is building for me! I hope it will also for some bidders in the middle of next week! Follow the Pink Cricket story on my YouTube channel.
**UPDATE** (12-11-2012) I shipped the Pink Crickett out west today to the last "BIG" YouTuber. I hope to get it back by the 17th so the auction can begin.
**UPDATE** (12-7-2012) I just received word another famous YouTuber is willing to sign the Pink Crickett. The auction has been put on hold until I can get the signatures and have the rifle back in my posession!
The new tentative date for the auction to start is December 15th, 2012. Please register now and check back for updates.
I want to thank everyone involved. This fundraiser has taken on a life of it's own. Someone will own a realty nice little rifle and a family will be blessed with our efforts. Thanks to you all!

Supporting Wounded Warriors - Finding a Better Way
I was hoping by now the Wounded Warrior Project would change its policy but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. They continue to distance themselves from the gun community. Surely they understand this will not work well for them.
National "Buy Ammunition Day"
TheHossUSMC came up with a great idea. He has created National Buy Ammunition Day which will be held on November 5th, 2012. In an effort to support this even ArtisanTony is having a giveaway where he will reimburse ammo purchases up to $150 for some lucky winners. See the videos below for details!

As the state House of Representatives considers improvements made in the state Senate to House Bill 937, the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association (NCSA) continues to oppose the provision in this bill that repeals the antiquated permit to purchase a handgun requirement. Gun owners, sportsmen and Second Amendment supporters across the Tar Heel State need to continue to actively work against this effort.

Florida Alert! URGE Governor Scott to SIGN HB-1355
False information is being circulated about House Bill 1355 by people who do not have a clue what the bill actually does or why it is needed. Many gun owners are being deceived by reckless people who are sending out e-mail blasts attacking the bill as being anti-Second Amendment. Unfortunately, some well-meaning folks have asked the Governor to veto HB-1355 based on misinformation. The Governor needs to sign HB-1355. The truth is HB-1355 is very limited. It does NOT cover people who voluntarily go to private counseling for help. It does NOT cover people who voluntarily go to a doctor for help. It does NOT cover people who voluntarily go to a public clinic for help. It ONLY applies to people with mental illnesses who are already in a mental health facility under a Baker Act petition AND who have subsequently been diagnosed as being an imminent danger to self or others.
